| 9,000 children will develop eye cancer across the world this year. More than 7,000 of them will die.
Every Child Counts is a globe-trotting effort to raise £1 (US$1.50) for every child who will develop eye cancer this year. |
| The money raised will help us build effective, sustainable care for children in developing countries.
As donations accrue on the Every Child Counts Page at JustGiving, we will update the map below to show all the children who have been counted with your support. Click on the map to see a larger view. Below the map, you will find a list of countries already counted, and where we're heading next. Please bookmark this page and visit regularly to see how much your donations have helped to colour the world with hope - because Every Child Counts! | * How we calculate the numbers of children newly affected by eye cancer annually
The figures on this page have been updated to reflect the latest forcast retinoblastoma cases based on CIA world population data. Every year, we forecast the number of Rb cases by country, based on population, birth rate, infant mortality and an average discovery rate of 1 case in 15,000 live births. Existing cancer registries world wide tell us these calculations are accurate. Please visit our Global Incidence page to learn more. |
